Meet Dr. Michael Colin Rymer
Double Board-Certified Surgeon
My practice is deeply rooted in the patient experience which should be full of kindness, respect and collaboration. All of my patients should feel like family. I am extremely honored to be a physician and I take pride in my work. Every patient has a unique problem, background and individual concerns. It is my job to guide them through their patient specific care plan and to restore form, function and normalcy to their lives.
I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. I am a board certified plastic surgeon with additional fellowship training in hand and microsurgery. I specialize in hand and upper extremity surgery, peripheral nerve surgery and reconstructive microsurgery. I treat all hand and wrist elective conditions and continue to care for traumatic hand and wrist injuries through Premier’s Level 1 trauma center. I have over 10 years of experience in the surgical field and I am proud to serve the greater Dayton area.
I attended undergraduate education at the University of Dayton. I received my medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2007. I then returned to Dayton for my Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency through Wright State University. I concluded my training with a fellowship at Southern Illinois University in Hand and Microsurgery. Education and the growth of my specialty have always been important and I continue to be academically involved as a clinical faculty member of the Wright State University Orthopedic and Plastic Surgery Residency programs.
